About the Cast
Most of the members of the UGH management team are based on real people I have known or worked with:
Scott Smith was renamed from Scott Bartosch, my VP of sales at Wiremold, the biggest distributer in the electrical industry; our biggest customer called him “the best VP of sales in the industry”
Steve Mallard was renamed from Steve Maynard, who was Engineering VP at Wiremold. Steve introduced QFD for new product development at both Wiremold and Sturm, Ruger & Company.
Frank Gee was renamed from my VP of Operations at Wiremold, Frank Giannattasio, who did much of the heavy lifting in Wiremold’s Lean turnaround.
Judy Rankin is of course a member of the ladies professional golf hall of fame, but for this book she was renamed for Wiremold’s ...
