2.1. Involvement

Through involvement, people have the means to influence the organization. Involvement encompasses team systems, process redesign efforts, and keeping score together. Involvement includes the means through which people's ideas for improving business results are generated, captured, prioritized, analyzed, and implemented. Involvement also includes the process through which people participate in setting goals and making forecasts.

Involvement is a component of the communication process. Take communication away and no one's involved.
