So far in this field guide, you have had the opportunity to learn more about the core ideas of leadership accountability and the four terms of the Leadership Contract. You've completed foundational activities that will provide a solid basis for you to become a truly accountable leader. Many of these activities are part of leadership programs that my colleagues and I deliver to companies with leaders like you. After these sessions, the number one question my team and I hear from our clients is: How do we ensure we sustain all this great work?

It's an important question because, in the end, if leaders cannot translate and transfer their insights back into their leadership roles, then we haven't made the changes we need to make.

This brings us to the purpose of this chapter: to present you with a set of regular practices designed to help you live the four terms of the Leadership Contract every day and to help you become the accountable leader your company needs.

In this chapter, you'll find activities that you can implement on a daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual basis. These activities have been tried and tested by leaders in our client organizations. We know that they work. Feel free to start with the activities that sound most meaningful to you. You can work on all of them, or just the vital few that matter in your role.
