Change

As change is both unavoidable and inevitable, any successful leader or manager of people must have a positive attitude to it. This means having both the capability to act as a change agent within their organisation and the ability to help others to deal with change and understand their responses and reactions to it.

In this chapter we will explore the nature of change, attitudes to change, individual and organisational change, resistance and barriers to change, and we will introduce processes and techniques to help manage change effectively.
