Satisfied customers will always spread the word. As I searched for the top customer service providers, the norm was to have the very best pointed out to me by those who had experienced the service firsthand.

I first heard of the Ritz-Carlton customer service experience from one of my show sponsors. He spoke highly of the hotel’s methods for taking extreme care of its customers and gave me a card with The Ritz-Carlton’s “practices” on it. It was a small, laminated card with different sections . . . all involving ways to take care of customers. He told me, “You can’t believe how they feel about customer service.
