About the Author

David Platt teaches User Experience Engineering at Harvard University Extension School and at companies all over the world. He’s the author of 12 programming books, including Why Software Sucks (Addison-Wesley, 2006) and Introducing Microsoft .NET (Microsoft Press, 2003). When he finishes working, he spends his free time working some more. When readers ask, “Did you really tape down two of your daughter’s fingers so she’d learn how to count in octal?”, he just smiles.
