Getting Started
I really, really appreciate your purchasing this book. And because I do, it would be rude of me to delay, even for an instant, the pleasure you’ll gain from using your cool new iPhone. Allow me to offer a few quick steps for firing up your new best friend:
Open the box.
I know it’s a cool box, but it stands between you and your prize. When you open the box, peel away the plastic that wraps your iPhone. Lift out the plastic tray, and remove the Dock connector cable and the Dock.
Download iTunes 7.3 or later.
If you don’t already have the latest version of iTunes, travel to www.apple.com/itunes and grab a copy. Versions are available for Windows PCs as well as the Mac.
String the cable from your computer to the Dock.
Attach the USB end ...
