Do a Backup and Restore

If your iPhone is misbehaving or just plain acting weird, it may be time to do a restore. You’ll need to sync your iPhone before doing this so that it is backed up. Once the sync is done, leave your iPhone connected to your computer and click the Restore button on the Summary pane in your iPhone’s preferences in iTunes. This will reinstall the current iPhone firmware on your iPhone and then do a restore of your data from the backup. This can easily take 20 minutes or more, so make sure you do it when you have time to be without your iPhone.
