Updating Your Software Over the Air

iOS 5 introduces the ability to update your iPhone operating system software over the air. This means that when Apple updates the iOS, you don’t have to plug in your iPhone to your computer to update it. The updates are now smaller, so you can even do many of them via a cellular network. To check to see if you have a Software Update pending, just tap General in the Settings app, and then tap Software Update.
