Using iTunes Match to Back Up Your Other Songs to iCloud
When you turn on Apple’s iCloud feature on your iPhone (see Chapter 9), turn on the iCloud backup, and run your first backup, it automatically backs up any music, books, or TV shows you’ve bought from the iTunes Store wirelessly to iCloud. However, it doesn’t back up music you imported from CDs or bought somewhere else, but for around $25 a year, Apple offers a service called “iTunes Match.” It searches your Music Library, finds which songs there are available in the iTunes Store, and when it finds a match, it adds it to your iCloud backup.
