Your iPhone’s Version of Speed Dial
Your iPhone’s name for speed dial is “Favorites,” and to turn one of your contacts into a Favorite, just tap on their name in your contacts list to view the screen with their full contact info. Then, in the bottom-right corner of their Info screen, tap on the Add to Favorites button (shown circled here in red), and then choose whether to add that contact as a Voice Call or FaceTime favorite.
