11. Creating Video

I love sharing the story of the making of the USS Duct Tape. (You can see the video at TheInvisibleSale.com/VideoTools.) The video shares the successful inaugural floating of a handmade boat created by three young boys. Over the course of a week at Tinkering Camp in Austin, Texas, those three boys, with the help of a few adult counselors, made that boat out of materials they found. Finally, on the last day of the camp, the boys took the boat to the river to see if it would float. As you see in the video, the USS Duct Tape sort of floated. The boys learned that the weight limit was around 180 pounds, so as long as only two boys were on the boat, it floated. If they crossed that magical number, the bailing began.
