CONNECTING TO THE INTERNET OF THINGS

One of the most difficult choices you need to make when you are designing an Internet of Things (IoT) product is about that silent bit in the middle. You have the internet. You have your thing. But how do you connect one to the other? It is a multi-faceted question.
First, you need to decide on the type of connection – is it wired or wireless? Then there is the choice of standard, which impinges on battery life, along with the important considerations of commissioning and provisioning.
