We’ve selected them because they deliver the most “bang for your buck” and offer the attributes most retirees want: a mild climate, modern infrastructure including top-quality health care, and a reasonable cost of living. You’ll find the countries we profile to be politically stable and welcoming to foreign retirees. But only you can decide if a place “speaks” to you.

There are organized expat communities in most of these places, and that’s usually a welcome advantage. The hard work has been done and you’ll have a built-in support network the minute you arrive.
