A documentation plan is a useful tool, not only for helping you plan your work, but for letting your stakeholders know just what you intend to do. The documentation plan sets expectations for you and the whole team and gives you a structure to work from. As you build the plan, you start to visualize how much work is involved in a project and how much time it truly takes.
