Creating a Style Guide

Before you start creating your own style guide, see if one exists for your company. Often, Product Marketing is already working from a style guide, and you should definitely use it if one exists.

If your company doesn’t have a style guide and you have taken it on yourself to work on one, I suggest you choose one of those listed above as a starting point. There’s no point in reinventing the wheel. Those books have been in existence for years, so why start today from square one?
