Types of Technical Assistance

All projects need technical assistance (TA) at some level. All program officers are (or at least should be) qualified to provide some type of TA at some level. In most cases, however, program officers possess neither the time nor the qualifications to provide all the TA that a project needs. Deciding what is needed, how much of that you can provide, and how much must be provided by others, is one of the ongoing challenges of project management.
