The Rare Extrovert
That Student 24 is the only Rorschach extrovert in our series raises two questions: First, is our sample too small? Out of the 300 or so students who participated in the Instruction-Insight method over the years, 50 at most, for one reason or another, returned their material. Of these 50, the 27 cases we have used were chosen because they provided all the items necessary for the particular study of their Inside Stories.
The second question is: Are students less likely to be taking courses in psychology and becoming psychologists if their personality, in general, is of the more active and outgoing variety—students whose main interest may be in doing rather than contemplating, introspecting, and theorizing.
