19.9. Specific Diameter applications used in 3GPP

This section lists the two Diameter applications used in 3GPP Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS). The first is the Diameter Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) application [Draft-ietf-aaa-diameter-sip-app], which is used in the Cx, Dx, Sh and Dh interfaces (described in Section 2.3). The second is the Diameter credit control application [Draft-ietf-aaa-diameter-cc], which is utilized in the Ro interface for online charging functionality (see Section 3.12.5.2).
