5.5. Deferred delivery messaging
Deferred delivery messaging is, in fact, the well-known Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS). It was decided that the requirements put forth in the Third Generation Partnership Project's (3GPP) IMS Messaging Stage 1 should coincide with those of the MMS. In practice, this means that MMS is used for the deferred delivery mode in IMS.
