IMPLEMENTING A CHANGE
The term implementation has been used to describe many aspects of making a change. In its broadest sense, implementation has been used to mean the execution of a plan for a change. From this broad perspective, the term would include developing, testing, and activities to sustain and spread the change. However in this book, we use the term “implementation of a change” in a narrower sense. Specifically, in implementing a change our focus is on the activities one takes after testing has shown the change is positive and leads to improvement, but before spreading the change to brand new areas of the organization.
