2 The Path to the IBOC Standard
The work of the National Radio Systems Committee (NRSC) on the IBOC project is a story of persistence and patience. In this chapter, the tale of the NRSC-5 Standard is told. First, it follows the history of IBOC technology, adding new pieces of the puzzle to the historical background given in Chapter 1. These events are then connected to the trail blazed by the NRSC.
