With an undertaking as large and detail-driven as the IBOC Handbook, it will be hard to know when to stop offering my gratitude for all the support I have received. First, and foremost, this book began as a collaboration between myself and Don Lockett, author of “The Road to Digital Radio In the United States” (NAB, 2004). I am grateful for Don's input, support and graciousness. Unfortunately, his professional obligations prevented him from participating as much as we both would have liked. Chapter 1 contains material Don contributed to the effort.
