Integrity Virtual Machines Overview

Integrity Virtual Machines provides soft partitioning that includes sub-CPU granularity, shared I/O devices, security isolation, and dynamic resource allocation. Figure 6-1 shows the high-level architecture of Integrity Virtual Machines. The image depicts three VM guests running on a single VM host. Each of the VM guests has the ability to run workloads in an isolated instance of an operating system, such as HP-UX. In addition, as shown in Figure 6-1, each of the VM guests has virtualized CPU, memory, and I/O hardware resources.
