Hard, low, shadowy light turns my buddy Mark into a player in a noir novel. This is simple to do. Direction, angle, and color all play a role, and while that may seem to be a complex mix of elements, the digital camera and flash technology we have at our disposal nowadays makes sorting most of this out a series of pushed buttons. Of course, it helps to have read a lot of bad novels, and to have your sense of color and light spring from the pages of a Spawn comic book.
