Window Light Is a Beautiful Thing

EXCEPT THERE OFTEN ISN’T quite enough of it, or it is just a little too soupy, or the sun is currently lighting the windows on the other side of the building that you’re working in. So you see a shimmer of available window light, and it looks great, and it is where you might want to place your subject, but the daylight wandering in that particular window stops a tad short of being workable.

So how do you ramp it up, amplify it, tweak it, and shape it so that it still looks and feels like window light, but is actually flash? How do you make that flash behave like light from a window?
