There are countless men and women to thank for their contributions to this project. When writing about a subject as complex as leadership character, with its roots running deep into our childhood, any list would be incomplete without acknowledging my parents, to whom I dedicated this book. Their unconditional love, high expectations, and unquestioned support were undoubtedly the primary drivers for who I am today.

But any attempt at a comprehensive list would have to include teachers, pastors, coaches, and friends who have also shaped my heart, my worldview, and my outlook on the future. To all of them who modeled leadership character for me, I will be forever grateful.
