Assessments are ubiquitous. Although no substitute for the real work of engaging with the client, an assessment can sometimes provide a useful beginning to a coaching conversation. Many clients will have previously been assessed by various instruments—perhaps many times—and a knowledge of what form different assessments take, and what might be learned from them, is invaluable.
