CRADLE-TO-CRADLE

Sustainable frameworks for organizations have at their theoretical core that all organizational processes must be seen through a systems perspective. The cradle-to-cradle framework is premised on the same assumption, but focuses on promoting ecologically intelligent design. In their book Cradle to Cradle, McDonough and Braungart (2002) argue that industrial processes themselves are not antithetical to nature, but rather are the outcomes of a time when natural resources seemed infinite.
