GROUP PROCESS AND DYNAMICS PERSPECTIVE: HOW THE GROUP OPERATES AND INTERACTS

In contrast to the task perspective that focuses primarily on what a team does, the group process and dynamics perspective looks at how the group interacts and how underlying emotional and psychological processes influence the group’s ability to perform its tasks effectively. There exists no general agreement on the distinction between group dynamics and group process, and the terms are often used interchangeably. But process tends to refer to underlying emotional and psychological issues, whereas dynamics suggests more the pattern of interactions among the team members.
