Theories of Adult Learning
Adult learning, as a distinct branch of education theory, is a development of the later twentieth century. Earlier pioneers of education reform, whose influence can be felt in these newer concepts, include John Dewey and Paulo Freire.
Dewey (1916) was an American philosopher, psychologist, and educator, who played a major role in education reform in the early decades of the twentieth century.
