The wooden pallet is the most common unit load used in warehouses. It is a convenient-sized load for moving goods around the warehouse and for the storage of goods. The goods often arrive already on pallets, but even where this is not the case, as occurs frequently with loose-loaded ISO containers, then the goods may be palletized at the goods receiving area ready for put-away to storage.
