Chapter Seven focuses on transformational leadership. The author's extensive experience with globally dispersed teams in aerospace leads him to an understanding of the role of leadership and some practical process steps. For example, he suggests that virtual meetings not be held during peak work times, so more members can participate. In a survey, virtual team members said that the key characteristics they wanted in a leader were integrity, genuine concern for others, and self-confidence.
