At this point, you may be wondering if it's all worthwhile. Raid leading is by far the most difficult job that an officer can undertake. You have to make extremely tough—and often controversial—decisions. You have to be hard on people. You have to be at the top of your game at all times to set a good example (and we haven't even gotten into the issue of loot distribution yet).
