Phil Thornton has written about economics, finance and business for 20 years and spent almost a decade at The Independent newspaper as its economics correspondent. Since 2007 he has run Clarity Economics, a consultancy and freelance writing service he set up after going freelance. Clarity Economics (www.clarityeconomics.com) looks at all areas of business and economics including macroeconomics, world trade, financial markets, fiscal policy, and tax and regulation.
