Being a profitable, successful global corporation is in part determined by an organization's ability to solve problems and reconcile both conflicting priorities and limited resources that are a part of organizational life. This chapter defines what constitutes a problem and provides tools and information around national culture that impacts the ability to solve problems or improve products and services on global teams. It also provides a three-step problem-solving process that will help members of global teams reconcile their differences and accomplish work together.
