When to Hold the Sale

One of the crucial elements in conducting a successful garage sale is to know when the right time is to have one. Picking the right days of the week to conduct your sale is absolutely crucial.

If you want to have a garage sale and have just one day for such an event, make sure you hold your sale on a Saturday. As a second option, try to choose a Friday. Between Friday and Saturday, you’ll get the most traffic possible. People tend to not attend garage sales between Sunday and Thursday like they do on Fridays and Saturdays. On these other week days you will just be spinning your wheels and wasting your own time, hard work and effort.

You really need to hold your garage sale when as many people as possible can attend. The more foot traffic you can generate at your sale, the better chance you have for success and of course turning substantial profits.
