Preproduction

Preproduction is the first phase of game development, and is arguably the most critical one. During preproduction, the goals of the game are defined and agreed upon by the team, the management, and the publisher. At the end of preproduction, a full game plan is created, which details what work needs to be done, who is going to do it, and when it needs to be completed.
