A common inspiration for fledgling designers is the desire to tell stories. Of course, stories were told long before video games were invented. What is the deeper inspiration is the desire to tell stories in a new way—a way that is highly dependent on the reader for discovery and interpretation. These kinds of stories are written not simply to be enjoyed in a vacuum but to be discussed and dissected.
