THE GENESIS OF FX BOOTCAMP

I traded forex on demo accounts for over two years, and at first I was pretty bad at it. Looking back, I’m astonished at how little I knew.
I traded and I traded. I bought a few e-books. I bought a few DVDs. Not much helped. Some were more confusing than helpful. I played with every technical indicator. I even messed around with their settings. Some things worked some of the time.
My typical day started with me waking up very early in the morning and trading on my laptop. I would do this for a few hours. Then in 15 minutes flat I would shower, eat breakfast, and jump in the car to go to work.
I would watch the market action on my cell phone while sitting in rush hour traffic near the city. I would eventually get to the parking lot and either walk the rest of the way to the office or wait for the shuttle. Either way, my eyes were glued to the cell phone and the forex prices.
Eventually I would get to work. I had a micro laptop. It had a 10-inch screen and weighed less than a pound. It would sit on the corner of my desk with my forex charts open. I would watch it all day. Even in meetings, I had one eye on the conversation and one eye on the charts. Luckily I did not go cross-eyed!
This went on for a long time. Slowly, I got to be a better trader. I was showing a lot of improvement. Then improvement led to hope. “Perhaps I can do this after all!”
It would have been a lot easier and a lot less painful if someone had just showed me how to trade ...
