Coaching is the day-to-day interaction between you and your employees, whereby you may provide assistance, support, praise, and constructive criticism. It is especially effective when provided on an informal, ongoing basis. Coaching lets employees know what is expected of them and tells them how they’re doing. It can help develop needed skills and often heads off potential problems. It is as important for top and average performers as for those needing to focus on improved performance.

Managerial coaching is crucial for making the best use of employees’ potential and for keeping them motivated at their jobs. It also contributes toward improving the organization’s overall productivity.
