Carol Stack and Ruth Vedvik have each worked for 35 years in the college admission and financial aid industry and for the past 14 and nine years, respectively, as principals at Hardwick-Day, an enrollment consulting firm that works with the admission and financial aid offices of private colleges and universities. Both have held cabinet-level positions at private colleges as directors of admission, with full responsibility for the recruitment, selection, and funding of the annual freshman class.
