How to Ensure Your Measures Are Relevant

Introduction

The first guiding principle for effective evaluations is that the measures must be relevant. Relevant to what? To the reason that the training was created in the first place. If what you measure does not directly assess the outcomes that the training was designed to produce, then the evaluation will fail to answer the fundamental question: “Did it work?”
