An understandable mistake that many coaches make is to believe that coaching is something that one person does to support another and that it is exclusively for the benefit of the person who is being coached. The very word coaching connotes that to most people. While the coaching process is normally structured with the understanding that it will largely benefit the coachee, the best coaches also recognize two important facts:
