101. I Accept Your Quirks Because You Accept Mine

I returned from a short vacation and decided to coin a new term—pre-travel anxiety (PTA).

Let me explain.

My husband is a nervous traveler. For some unknown reason, his PTA was particularly acute this trip. He packed two weeks before we left, and he kept reminding me to do the same; he repeatedly asked me to get our boarding passes days before we were able to do so; and he had us leave for the airport at the crack of dawn for a 10 a.m. flight. Consider that we live only 20 minutes from the airport and this was a domestic flight!

I wanted to scream at times. But I took a deep breath, decided that PTA was one of his quirks, and let it go.
