A young woman in a new-hire program for a major financial firm asked me if her nail polish would be a problem once she started working. I responded that she would be asking her clients to trust her with their multi-million-dollar portfolios, and did she think that her chipped green nails would convey a reassuring image to her potential clients? She responded “No” and added that she thought I would say that!
