51. PILOT EPISODE
I always love watching the new shows that come out every season. There are so many genres to chose from—action, police, drama, documentary, comedy, and reality TV. Each season typically starts out with about 30 new shows, but after the broadcasters tabulate the number of viewers for each, the number of shows drops to only one or two. It seems that the networks are always looking for the next new, exciting pilot to test. The success of the pilot will determine whether the company wants to sink a lot of time and money into continuing the show.
