47. EYE DIRECTION

I want you to think of your eyeballs as a compass. Wherever your eyes go, the hiring manager’s eyes will follow. When I was a kid walking around New York City, I would often just stand on a corner, looking up at the skyscrapers. People walking by would also look up, wondering what I was so fascinated with. I bet you’ve done this yourself, whether it’s following someone’s gaze up in the sky or rubbernecking on the highway at an accident in the oncoming lane. The same holds true for your digital job interviews.
