28. CRITICS

In the movie business, one way to know whether your show is performing well is by reading the reviews written by critics. A critic has a point of view that is independent of the actors, actresses, producers, and directors who work on the show. He or she offers a (usually) objective perspective regarding the quality of the performance. For your digital interviews, you need to be your own worst critic. You need to be brutally honest about how you’re doing. Don’t lie to yourself—after all, where will that get you? Certainly not to a better interview and a new career.
