23. TUNE IN

You cannot change the channel during your digital job interview. The star of the show is you, and you must maintain your hiring manager’s full attention. You want to make sure that you are well-prepared for each interview, just as an actor or actress must be prepared for each role. A great way to prepare is to visualize exactly how you want your digital interview to go. Do you want to be the star of a comedy like Saturday Night Live? It’s a funny show, but emulating it probably wouldn’t get you the job. I would suggest watching 60 Minutes to see how the program is put together. Not only how the actors/reporters are projecting their words, but their mannerisms, the background, the lighting, the sound, and the stories they present. ...
